Scuba Diving Class
These pictures were placed here for use in producing our PADI certification documents since when they were
acquired (in the middle of the night), there was no time to transfer them to where they had to go.
We took the lecture/classroom part of our scuba training during a set of intensive class in Dec. 2004, whith most classes ending between
11:30pm and 12:30am (i.e. midnight). Some of our classmates
are shown here, along with our instructor Michel Wander, who was excellent.
Some of the lecture days were 15-hours long! It was certainly the case that some mornings it was difficult to drag ourselves in to
class at 8am, when our equipment was still wet from the previous night's work in the pool. In retrospect, it was a great experience though and
a good one for a parent and child to do together,
We then our open-water training in January 2005. We found that the open water material was very straightforward, partly because
our prior training had been very solid.
